Press Release

Pat Robertson from the 700 Club sits down with Steve Heil to hear Steve’s journey to his true purpose in life.  The setting is a cozy room with a roaring fireplace and welcoming hearth.  Both men look relaxed in their blue jeans and button down shirts.  It seems more like a conversation between friends than an interview.

Pat: Steve you look at peace, content and happy.

Steve: I am, I feel an abundance of joy and I am living life to it’s fullness.

Pat: What do you contribute that to?

Steve: Living out my true purpose in life.

Pat: What was that defining moment you knew without a doubt what your true purpose was?

Steve: I have always had a passion for making a difference in my family’s and other’s lives.  To be honest I struggled with knowing what God’s true purpose was for me.  I became a nurse to help others and I knew I wanted to change my family legacy.  I grew up in a home with an absent dad, sometimes physically and often emotionally distant.  We believed in God but did not understand the importance of having a relationship with Christ.  I was an adult, married with three kids before I truly understood.  I wanted  a different life for my family than what I had.  I wanted to be a dad that was there for his family both physically and emotionally and my kids understood the significance of having a relationship with our Savior.  Also, that as an earthly father we often fail but our Heavenly Father will not fail us.  His love is unending.

My business was struggling and it was during my quite time one week that it became clear to me not only what my true purpose was but also the passageway to take.  I had been reading in John 15 and Luke 9 & 10.  John 15:16-17- You did not choose me, but I choose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit-fruit that will last. Luke 9:2- and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.  Luke 10:2-He told them “the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.  Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.”

I went into my business for me.  These verses helped me see the gift I had in my business, to use it to do exactly what these verses were saying.  This changed everything for me.  I sought to embrace the power within me with all my heart and soul and let it direct my footsteps.  The rest is history.  My business has been so successful that it allows me to invest my time in my family’s lives and the Heil Foundation we started to help financially support and go on Medical Mission trips and financially support Wounded Warriors projects.  Our kids all work side by side with my wife and I on our Foundation.  I am so blessed and proud of them.
